I am member of the Probate and Trust Team specialising in the administration of estate, tax planning, the preparation of Wills, and care for the elderly.

I joined Rawlison Butler in 1985 and commenced my training as a Legal Executive in 1989 and qualified as a Fellow of the Institute in June 1994.

I am a Director of Cognitive Help and Therapy (CHAT) Ltd and an advisor/member of the League of Friends of Horsham Hospital.

How do you contribute to our Corporate Social Responsibility?

Being invited to join CHAT as a Trustee in its infant stages, assisting in the set up of the limited company of which I am now a Director with the intention of proceeding to obtain charity status and ensure the future continuance of the organisation with a view to assisting as many people as possible with cognitive impairment and their carers.

What changes to do you expect in the next 12 months?

Introduction of new legislation bring changes to –  Powers of Attorney, provision of Legal Services, Perpetuities and Accumulation periods.

What is your most memorable or challenging matter?

Tax planning for a family to ensure the ability to retain the family home following death.  Acting on behalf of a family in an application to the Court of Protection for a Statutory Will.
