Expertise
I specialise in commercial and residential property litigation. I act for both landlords and tenants on a wide range of issues including business lease renewals, dilapidations, alienation, change of use, rent reviews, possession claims and service charge disputes. I also advise on rights in relation to leasehold enfranchisement and residential lease extensions, adverse possession, easements and rights of way, boundary disputes and property issues arising in insolvency situations.
Profile
I joined Rawlison Butler from city firm Maclay Murray and Spens in February 2011. I am head of our Property Litigation Department and have a broad range of experience in both commercial and residential property litigation. I regularly represent clients in the High Court, County Courts, in the Leasehold Valuation Tribunal and at mediation.

I speak at regular seminars for clients and agents and write articles for external publications and for updating our clients on relevant issues. I also provide in house training to surveyors and agents.
In my spare time …
I chase around after my two young sons and dream about how nice it would be to read a newspaper uninterrupted…just occasionally!

I am an active supporter of Cancer Research UK - because cancer just affects far too many people’s lives.
What has been the most memorable or challenging case for you?
One where I acted for the Claimant and her brother was the Defendant….never underestimate sibling rivalry!
