Expertise

I specialise in corporate law advising a variety of clients on mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, insolvency and general corporate related matters.

Profile  

I began my career in the legal profession with Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer and Baker & McKenzie in London.  I completed my training contract with Davies Lavery in January 2005, before moving to Vertex Law LLP in Kent the following month upon qualification as a solicitor.  I practised in the Corporate Finance Team there for three years and then joined Rawlison Butler’s Corporate Finance Team in January 2008.

I am an occasional contributor to Rawlison Butler’s legal bulletins and have had articles published on our website.

In my spare time …

I enjoy running and have participated in various 10km and 10 mile events in the South East.  I also play and follow golf, tennis and football when I am not making the most of my time with my family.

How do you contribute to our Corporate Social Responsibility?

I organised a team from Rawlison Butler to partake in the BUPA Great South Run in 2009, raising money for St Catherine’s Hospice.  As a result of our combined efforts, the RB team ended up winning 1st prize for best placed Medium Business (Mixed Team).

What do you expect to be the most significant market trend in your area for the next 12 months?

I believe we will see a lot more UK based private companies finding themselves in severe financial difficulties in 2010 culminating in more administrative pre-pack sales than we saw in 2009.  For the cash rich companies, there may well be one or two good deals to be had out there this year.

What is your strongest characteristic - how your colleagues describe you?

Andrew is a very hard worker.  He will do what it takes to get the job done to the satisfaction of the clients.  A solid all round member of the Team.
