Employment Law Essentials 3

03 October 2012

A half day course tailored to busy directors, senior managers and HR professionals who need to know more about the essential areas of employment law.

We know from experience that managers and directors often find themselves spending precious time dealing with employment issues which can land them in the Employment Tribunal with potentially large claims, despite their best efforts.

These Employment Law Essentials sessions will provide those with direct or indirect HR responsibility with accessible and jargon-free training in the key areas of employment law and how to minimise the risks to their business and the bottom line.

The areas covered in this Employment Law Essentials session are:

Reshaping your business
-  Restructures and redundancies
-  Choosing and using selection criteria
-  Handling a redundancy procedure and meetings
-  The process for changing contracts of employment

Successfully defending tribunal claims
-  What to do when you receive a claim
-  Preparing your defence
-  Understanding the tribunal process
-  Giving evidence at a hearing
-  Costs and tactics
-  How tribunal compensation is calculated

Flexible Working
