| There is a perception within some organisations within
the market place that "big ticket" litigation
can only be handled in the City, with City charging rates
to match. Thankfully, that is a rapidly fading perception.
We are seeing more and more commercial disputes that may
once have had an exclusively City badge moving out of
the square mile. Construction and engineering disputes
have been recent cases in point.
Rawlison Butler LLP has the experience, know how and
resources to project manage large commercial disputes
both in England and internationally. Where there is
a multi jurisdictional angle to the case, we will go
to the most suitably equipped associate in each jurisdiction
to handle the case under our co-ordination, rather than
being saddled with whoever you might get from the international
law firm's local law office. We are also regularly called
upon by professional colleagues in Europe and North
America to assist with matters that have a UK dimension.
Clients of whatever stature always want value for money,
and progressively they are seeing that they can get
this outside the City.
To say that Rawlison Butler LLP can handle these types
of cases is no idle boast. The two lead partners in
the Commercial Disputes Department both have extensive
experience with highly respected City firms, but are
now in a position to handle your case at non City rates.
To put this into context, our partner rates will range
from a base figure of £220 per hour to a maximum
of £240 per hour. In the City, that will buy you
a very junior assistant at best. In terms of track record,
we set out below some recent case studies:
