In-house training for managers

The risk of a dispute or employment tribunal claim can be reduced significantly if your managers have even a basic understanding of employment law and practice. In many cases, employment tribunals ask questions about training received by managers, particularly where discrimination is concerned, and they can take this into account when reaching their decision.

Our Employment Team provides in-house training that is tailored to the needs of your business, on a whole range of topics, including:

  • Handling grievance and disciplinary hearings
  • Conducting investigations
  • Equal opportunities and diversity
  • Managing change (including restructuring)
  • Dealing with absence and sickness
  • Effective performance management
  • Understanding the practical effect of TUPE.

This is just a small sample of the topics we cover. Our practical and interactive approach ensures that managers get the maximum benefit from the training session leaving them well equipped to deal with work place issues competently and effectively.

Training sessions can be booked for a half day or whole day. To discuss your requirements, contact Tony Hyams-Parish, Head of Employment, by emailing Tony or telephone him on 08450 990045. Alternatively, you can speak to your usual contact in the Employment Team.
