When to do it

As soon as you contemplate selling your business it is worth talking to us. Once you have entered into discussions with a potential buyer it may be too late.

What form does it take?

Following the initial free meeting, the pre-sale clinic will be structured to your needs but its ultimate goal is to ensure that when you come to selling your business it is in better shape than when you came to us. Amongst other things we can review your main contracts, consider the structure of the ownership, review employee contracts and assess any potential litigation. We will report on these and advise on any areas that could cause a buyer to walk away from a deal or try to reduce the price.

Preparation

A number of our clients are first time sellers of their business and as part of the clinic we will talk to them about the process that is involved so that they are better prepared for what can be a very arduous process.
