Regulatory matters
We can advise clients in respect of a variety of regulatory and/or disciplinary matters. Some examples of recent regulatory matters we have acted on include:
- acting for the manufacturer of a new electronic casino gaming machine in relation to its dealings with the Gambling Commission regarding compliance with the Gambling Act 2005
- advising a client in relation to disciplinary proceedings brought by the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales
- advising a client in the travel sector regarding its potential liabilities under the International Air Transport Association’s rules and procedures
- advising a client in relation to an Office of Fair Trading adjudication
- acting for a number of company directors in proceedings brought by the (then) DTI under the Company Directors Disqualification Act 1986
- advising an international client in relation to their dealings with HM Revenue & Customs in relation to a foreign mutual legal assistance request
- representing a client in relation to disciplinary proceedings brought by the British Show Jumping Association and the British Equestrian Federation.
