Commercial fraud

Claims relating to commercial fraud can often arise in connection with other types of commercial disputes, such as claims for breaches of director’s duties, breaches of fiduciary duties, and fraudulent misrepresentation.

In cases involving suspected fraud, swift action is often necessarily to preserve both assets and evidence.  Our team can assist with early applications for freezing injunctions, search orders and other forms of injunctive relief.  We are also experienced in asset tracing and recovery, and can liaise closely with lawyers in other jurisdictions where there are international elements to the suspected fraud.

Some of our recent cases involving allegations of commercial fraud include representing a pharmaceutical company in relation to allegations of price fixing, and advising company directors in relation to civil fraud proceedings involving a multi-million pound worldwide freezing injunction.
